If what you got now works for you, I would wait to upgrade until end of the year, Skyrim is going to be soooo great! :D

no game supports 6 cores atm anyways - but as someone mentioned earlier, if what you have now is fine and you only want to upgrade cause of that game i suggest you wait - prices might drop or something new might have come out.

Have you looked at those new sandy bridge setups i7 2600k or something - alot of people are talking about it atm
